June keeps us all busy with celebrating Father’s Day, Juneteenth, graduations, and weddings. In

addition, it is Pride Month, Great Outdoors Month, and June 8 th is World Oceans Day. Many families

are preparing for summer vacations or - as we cringe at gasoline prices and airport miseries –

staycations. Whether you’ll be enjoying fresh mountain air, sunny beaches, or your own back yard,

stop by Friendly Finds to stock up on books to help you relax and unwind this summer. A selection of

“Beach Reads” awaits – a variety of paperbacks priced at just $.50 each. Also highlighted during

June will be a collection of cookbooks (think barbecues and picnics), books about baseball, and in a

more serious vein, military history.

Thank you to all who patronized our big sale in May. The next one will be August 7 th and 8 th .

Proceeds from our book sales are used to fund museum passes and a wide variety of programs at

the library. You get to enjoy the books and the benefits! Cash, check, and Venmo are accepted. We

gratefully accept donations of books in good condition that you no longer need or want. Volunteers

will be at the back entrance of the library every Saturday from 9:30 until Noon for assistance. (You

can also return books that you previously purchased from the FRIENDS!) To learn more, visit our
